Sliding into week 5 of the ABP Qualifier in near perfect conditions the Wednesday GPS Watch was snatched by Aidan Dilworth with a very impressive score of 39pts edging out our second qualifier James Maher (39pts) on a countback. Coming in close behind in third place was Brian Prendergast with a great score of 38pts . The Gross qualifier was Shay Hughes.
Very good shooting and a spot in Octobers Grand Final for each to look forward to.
Onto the weekend and we had the 3rd instalment of “Golfer of the year” with the 18 hole Stroke generously sponsored by Paul Eivers Plumbing. This event was hotly contested in excellent conditions. Claiming top spot was Kieran Davis with a fabulous 65nett . In second was Benny Hickey with 68nett. Coming home in third was Marcus McGee with 69nett. Gross went to Mark O’Loughlin with 74Gross – Great shooting lads. Special mention and congrats to Jake Lindy scoring a hole in one on the 16th – wrist watch on route???
Pierce Purcell Team: Our Pierce Purcell Team under the stewardship of Tom Hickey and Sean Casey progressed through the preliminary round on Sunday in Clonmel beating Tipperary Town 3-2. Paddy Regan and Jason Slattery clinching the vital point in Paddy’s first inter-club outing, well-done lads. The next outing is Saturday morning in Clonmel playing against Thurles. All support greatly appreciated. Best of Luck to all involved.
Thursday 24th of May at 4pm we have our Jimmy Bruen Team contesting the Eastern Area Final down in Carrick-on-Suir. Their opponents are Waterford Castle. All support will be greatly appreciated as we look to progress further in this prestigious event. Best of Luck to Stephen Flannery and his Team.

Our Monday mixed competition returned on Monday, May 13th.
A strong turnout for the first night and we hope to build on this week on week.

Our JB Carr team played Dundrum last week on home soil.
Tim Guidera and Richie Fitzgerald won 2 and 1. Michael O Donnell and Martin Cullinane won 2 up. John Barry and Gerry Walsh won 2 up. Liam Nelligan and Brian Mc Nally were 1 up on 17 when called in and Liam Wall and John English were all square on 16 when Cahir were awarded the victory.
