Our Mixed Foursomes team were out on Sunday in Cullen Cup in Castlecomer. Sunday was the day of yellow weather warning but that didn’t faze our team. First out was Jake Linley and Rosemary Maher. Followed by Eamon Williams, who never plays in the rain and had to borrow wet gear! Eamon wouldn’t let the club down. A player had to pull out unavoidably on Sunday morning. Breda Keating was his partner. Then we had Selector, Vincent Bradshaw and Caroline Maher. Next was Liam Wall and Kathleen Lonergan. Finally Selector Susan Carey aka Madam Motivator and veteran Noel Hally. It was a tough match. We lost 3/2 but vowed to go back for their Open Week. It’s a spectacular course.
Our next foursomes match is the Diageo Mixed against Carlow on July 6. Three pairings in Carlow and two in Cahir.
