Cahir Park Golf Club are determined to keep us all playing golf from now till Christmas. The weather and the cheer in the club was on point this weekend!

The place was a hive of activity all weekend and it is great to see everyone out and about and enjoying themselves on the crossover weekend from November to December.

So forget about the Weather Apps and come to Cahir Park.  Keep those positive endorphins going.  Enjoy the fresh air and have a cuppa and some grub when you are finished.

Mens results:-

This weekends open singles saw many out to enjoy the good weather. There was a 9 hole stableford competition ran from Friday to Sunday. There was some battle for first place with all the top 3 on 21 points, so we had to go to a count back. Out on top was the ever steady Willie Morrissey, in second was Eddie O’Riordan and in third place was Dave O’Brien – fierce competition out there with 2nd and 3rd going to a full count back to see who was positioned where.

Ladies results:-

The ladies were also out in force this weekend with Turkey No 3 up for grabs with a huge turnout. The same as the mens results, very little separated the women on top. All 3 in the prizes were on the same score of 19 points!! It is great to see such competition with nothing separating those out on top. In first place on a count back was Joanne Quaid, next in second was Miriam Halley and in third place also on a countback was Breda Keating. Well done to all who played.

Seanori Results:-

Seanori were back battling it out as per usual in the club last Tuesday. It is a great social event as well as superb golf being played by all the longtimers! There is huge friendly competition between this crowd and it is great to meet them in the clubhouse after their round, with friendly banter going around about who missed what and who couldn’t keep it on the fairways that day – all while enjoying a coffee and a scone. This time around bragging rights went to in 1st was Liam Nelligan, Austin McLoughlin & Frank Davis with 38.1pts, second was Tom O’Dwyer, Michael Nugent and Dave Barry on 41.7pts and in third was John Mackey, John Phelan and Bill Nash on 41.8pts.
