Ladies
Halloween Scramble
The golf course was a scary place on Thursday 27th October.
Witches and Ghouls mingled among the Cahir Park Ladies as the annual Halloween Scramble was played over 9 Holes in moist conditions and the usually calm game of golf was interrupted by spooky Creatures criss-crossing the Course, a Ghost blowing leaves from the Fairways, evidence of a skeleton falling from a trailer and the Hulk driving a Mower.
Scared and hungry, the Ladies were delighted to escape to the comfort of the Clubhouse and a hearty meal prepared by Lore and Kay with Francis attending to libations.
Captain Margaret Gill welcomed everyone and spoke of the previous lovely social occasions during her captaincy. Margaret thanked the Course Staff for entering into the spirit(s) of the day and for all their help over the last twelve months, Lore and Kay for wonderful food, Francis for attention to details in the ProShop and in the Bar/Restaurant. Margaret paid tribute to Ladies Committee and thanked Competitions Secretary Miriam Halley for the work she and her team put into the Halloween Scramble and all the Competitions throughout the year. Special thanks were conveyed to all the Sponsors who were very generous to the Ladies for their competitions this year. Alan O’Donnell, Woodview Service Station, Cahir sponsored the Halloween Scramble and he and his Family and Staff were sincerely thanked for the very generous prizes.

Driving Range
Orange and Yellow weather warnings and the resulting downpours impacted golf in most Golf Clubs over the last two weeks. Cahir Park was no different. Decisions to close the course are not taken lightly and are always taken for safety of golfers and protection of the Course grounds.
Our covered bays in the driving range are becoming a star attraction with the weather and are open to all. The driving range and covered bays are open to non-members.
