Goodbye July, Welcome August.
We all hope the wind and rain and thunder and lightning of July are long gone and not to be repeated. However, despite the miserable weather, Golf continued to be played at Cahir Park daily and great credit is due to the Course Team who keep the whole Course in excellent condition.
We look forward to August, hopefully dry and warm sunshine, and the Majors.
Best wishes are extended to Captain John Hughes for a very successful weekend as he hosts his prize from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August.
On Saturday 19th August, Captain Mary Lyons will host her Prize Day.
Juniors Captain, Carthach Leahy’s Prize will be played for Friday 25th to Sunday 27th.
Find The Golfball Draw
The results of the find the Golfball draw from Saturday 29th July’s draw. The envelope drawn was for Josie Walsh and her number was 34, not a winner.
The next draw will take place on Sunday 6th August, during the Mens Captain’s prize presentation. The Jackpot will be €1,300. Please support your club by supporting the draw.

Ladies Revive Active Team
Cahir Park Ladies enjoyed success over Monkstown G.C last week to win the East Munster Final of the Revive Active Fourball competition played at Fermoy G.C. The team who represented Cahir Park were Patricia Browne, Deirdre O’Neill, Julie Connolly, Breda Keating. Joanne Quaid, Susan Carey, Emma Keating, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Michelle Keating, Susie Burke and the Managers are Captain Mary Lyons and Chris Noonan. Best wishes Ladies for the next round, due to be played in Youghal end of August.
Ladies Intermediate Team
Hard luck fell to our Ladies on Saturday when they played a strong Fota Island Ladies team at Kinsale G.C. in the East Munster Final of the Intermediate Competition. Cahir Park Team of Caitlin Fitzgerald, Joanne Quaid, Julie Connolly, Susie Burke and Deirdre O’Neill were managed by Ann O’Brien and Cathy O’Gorman.

Australian Spoons Competition
Congratulations to Michelle and Emma Keating who recently qualified out of Munster Final of the Australian Spoons competition to represent Cahir Park in the All-Ireland Final to be played at Co. Longford Golf Club in August. Continued success Michelle and Emma.
