Mens

Congratulations to Managers John Morrissey & Tom Hickey, and the players of our Men’s Pierce Purcell Team who beat Grange Golf Club 3.5/1.5 In Enniscorty Golf Club.

In a very closely contested Q-Final the matches ebbed back and forth in the early holes with both Teams playing well and no pairing from either side managing to take a significant lead. After 9 holes most of the matches were either All Square or 1up/dn.

As the back 9 progressed small advantages were being gained and it was Grange who won a match first. The lead was short lived as Cahir Park secured a match soon after, and within the next half an hour Cahir won matches on the 18th and then the 16th to secure a great victory over a very strong Grange Team.

Next up for our Team is an All-Ireland Semi-Final on 14th September in Knightsbrook Golf Club.
