We have a winner!
Our find the Golfball draw took place at the weekend, and after 47 draws, we’ve finally had a winner of the jackpot worth €1,520.
The winner was Marie Walsh. Her number was 52. Congratulations Marie.
A new draw will commence next week. First draw on Saturday the 28th. October. The jackpot will be €500. We appeal to all members to support.
The draw is a very big part of our fundraising efforts.
Storms Rule and Ruin Golf
Storm Agnes last month and this week, Storm Babet have wreaked havoc on the game of golf for all Golf Clubs. The unprecedented level of rainfall is too powerful for land to absorb all the water. Soft ground cannot take machinery, ride-on Golf Buggies or dozens of eager Golfers treading the Fairways without resulting in damaged turf and a long-term recuperation process.
Course Closed sign is all too familiar these days. However, such decision is not made lightly. Protection of the Golfer and the Course is priority.
Please be patient with and courteous to the Grounds Staff who work in the most difficult conditions to maintain Golf Course and surrounding areas.
Competitions
Ladies Halloween 12 Hole Scramble is scheduled for Thursday 26th October. Shotgun-start at 11am. Entry Sheet in Ladies locker room.
Mixed 14 Hole Champagne Scramble scheduled for Halloween Weekend 27th, 28th, 29th October. In aid of 2023 Club Team Expenses. Team of 3, any combination. Very kindly sponsored by Mr. Mister Menswear.
