Pauline is Ladies Captain 2024
Congratulations to Pauline Mulcahy who accepted the role of Ladies Captain at the Ladies AGM on Thursday 16th November.
Outgoing Captain Mary Lyons presented the Captains Pin to Pauline and wished her successor much success throughout 2024. Captain Pauline joined in with all the Ladies to thank Mary for steering the Ladies Club through a very enjoyable and successful year. Pauline thanked Breda Kavanagh for accepting the role of Vice-Captain.
Notable Year for Imelda and Miriam
The final duty of 2023 Captain Mary Lyons was to present Silver Medal, Bronze Medal and Golfer of the Year Plate. Having thanked all the Teams and Team Managers who brought great pride to the Club and much success throughout the year, Mary thanked all the members who played in Club competitions and supported many fundraising events especially the Play in Pink Day and the Hospice Open Day. Mary was delighted to highlight the very successful year of Imelda Buckley who won the Club Bronze Medal and represented Cahir Park in the Munster Regional Final played at Ballyneety Golf Club and the All-Ireland Final played at Headfort G.C. Imelda played consistently good golf throughout 2023 and achieved the Club Golfer of the Year, including the Vera Freeman Silver Plate. Imelda was overjoyed to be presented with the Bronze Medal and the Plate, recalling her memories of the Late Vera Freeman, the first Ladies Captain of Cahir Park, and the kindness of the Lady to new members. Miriam Halley was thrilled to be presented with the Club Silver Medal.
Winter League
The Winter League will commence on Monday 27th November and run over eight weeks until 29th January 2024. This is a Team competition. Entry Sheet is in the Ladies Locker Room. Further details on the League to follow on WhatsApp Group.
