Snowdrops and Daffodils

The ever-hardy Snowdrops and Daffodils are delightful sights about the countryside.  They add brightness to the dull wet days of February.

Though they pop up somehow in unexpected places,  they are never untidy or unwelcome.

This sentiment cannot be apportioned when we play golf and find very unwelcome litter scattered about the Course.  Snack bar wrappers and other ‘all kinds of everything’ are becoming an all too prevalent scene about the green areas.

The solution is,  please be responsible for and take home your rubbish.  It is not the job of other members or of the Course Staff to pick up your litter.

Tuesday Ladies

The Senior Ladies Champagne Scramble made a welcome return this week.   The Front Nine Holes were in play.   Dry weather conditions obliged for the morning.  Congratulations to the winning team of Mary Kenrick,  Betty Buttimer and Breda Kavanagh with a score of 37pts.
