Denis M. Ryan R.I.P.
Captain of Cahir Park Golf Club 1981
Sincerest sympathy is extended by the Officers and members of Cahir Park Golf Club to the family of Denis Ryan who died on Saturday 9th December.
Denis was Club Captain in 1981.
He was remembered this week with fondness by his Golfing friends and many stories were related of a quick witted, fun loving, larger than life character who loved the game of golf and who excelled on the golf course.
Although unable to play golf recently, Denis kept in touch with the Club and enjoyed many sunny afternoons sitting in the Inch Field watching play on the 11th Green and 12th TeeBox.
A gentleman who will not be forgotten,
May his soul rest in peace.
Ladies Competitions and Results
Round two of the Winter League commenced on Monday 18th December and runs until Sunday 31st December. Two further rounds will be played in January and the League concludes on January, 29th, 2024.
A Nine Hole Ongoing Competition continues to run weekly also. Results for the last two weeks:
Week of 4th to 10th December, Winner was Barbara Nugent (18) 22pts and Eleanor Carroll (9) was second with 18pts.
Week of 11th to 17th December: Winner Mary Kenrick (10) 23pts, 2nd Breda R Hickey (11) 20pts, 3rd Breda Keating (9) 18pts, 4th Julie Connolly (7) 17pts.

Happy Christmas
The peace and joy of this festive season is wished for and extended to all the members of Cahir Park Golf Club and to all the Staff, Supporters and Sponsors who have been very generous to the Club throughout 2023.
Find the Golfball
The result of find the Golfball draw this evening for 16th December. The envelope drawn was for Breda Wall and her number was 36. Not a winner, Breda takes home €20. The next draw is on Saturday 23rd of December. An extra €100 has been added to the Jackpot, so there will be €760 up for grabs.
