A Week of Sunshine and Frost

On Tuesday, the Seanoiri enjoyed a very well organised and successful day of golf in bright sunshine and Christmas festivities after in the Clubhouse with music and song into the early evening.

On Thursday 8th December, the Ladies Club had to give way to a frozen Golf Course and enjoy a sumptuous lunch instead.  The function marked the first official engagement of Captain Mary Lyons to the Ladies.  Mary was delighted to present the Hampers and vouchers played for during October,  November and December to date.  The beautiful First Prize Hampers were very kindly and generously sponsored by Dolan’s Supervalu Cahir and the second and third prize Hampers were all prepared beautifully by Supervalu personnel.

The golf scheduled for Thursday 8th December and cancelled due to severe Frost was very kindly sponsored by Murphy Candles Cahir.  It is intended to reschedule the Scramble in the New Year.

The Ladies donated very generously to St. Vincent de Paul, Cahir branch and over €500 was gathered during the lunch.
