Bramleigh Lodge Nursing Home Summer Series
The presentation of Prizes for the Bramleigh Lodge Nursing Home Summer Series took place in the Clubhouse on Sunday evening.
Captain Mary Lyons thanked Sandra Farrell, Director of Bramleigh Lodge Nursing Home, Cahir, for the very generous Sponsorship of the Summer Series which was truly appreciated by all the Ladies of the Club.
Bramleigh Lodge provides long-term care, Respite care, Convalescence care in a very friendly and supportive environment. The Nursing Home has full-time Physiotherapy facilities and multiple activities for residents.
Thirty Ladies from Cahir Park qualified for the Bramleigh Lodge Final which was played on 1st October.
The winner with a superb score on the day was Julie Connolly. Second place went to Breda Kavanagh, third was Kathleen Lonergan and fourth place went to Mary Kenrick.

Ladies Golfer of the Year 2023
Congratulations to Imelda Buckley who again this week made the headlines in Cahir Park when Captain Mary Lyons announced Imelda is the Club Golfer of the Year for 2023.
Imelda has enjoyed a tremendous Year, bringing in superb scores, winning weekly competitions, featuring in the top four on Ladies Captain’s Day, winning Club Bronze Medal, winning fourth place in the Munster Final of the Bronze Medal Competition played at Ballyneety Golf Club and representing Cahir Park in Headfort G.C. in the All-Ireland Final.
Imelda joined Cahir Park Golf Club two years after the Club was established and has been an integral part of the Club ever since. Many tributes and deserving accolades to Imelda were paid by Members this week. Congratulations Imelda. You deserve all the success you have earned. May you continue to play and enjoy good golf. You lead by example.
Golf Ireland Girls Junior Medal 2023
Exciting news reached the Club this month when correspondence was received from Golf Ireland advising the award of Girls Junior Medal 2023 for Cahir Park to Bella Healy.
The Golf Ireland Junior Medal is awarded by Golf Ireland to the player with the lowest aggregate of three net score differentials, one in June, July and August.
A report is automatically generated from Golf Ireland Clubhouse system to identify the winners of the Medal.
Bella Healy is Cahir Park Junior Captain 2023 and now a Golf Ireland Girls Junior Medal 2023 Winner.
Bella has played excellent golf with the Club and topped the leaderboard on Lady Captain’s Prize Day, securing second prize.
At a reception in the Clubhouse on Sunday evening, Ladies Captain Mary Lyons was delighted to present Bella with her Medal.

Crisp Autumn Days arrived this week for Hamper No 2, 18 Hole Stapleford,
which was played over Thursday to Sunday inclusive and the Winner was Imelda Fitzpatrick (24) with 39pts. Susie Burke (12) brought in 36pts for second place and Geraldine Cooney (41) was third with 35pts. Great scores and congratulations Ladies.
Tuesday Ladies 12 Hole Scramble was played in lovely sunshine and the winning team was Kathleen Noonan, Breda Wall and Geraldine Cooney, 60pts. In Second place was team Eleanor Carroll, Emma McNally and Millie Webb 55pts on countback.

18 Hole Open Singles Stableford – Friday the 6th October to Sunday the 8th October
Category 1 was won by Emmett Leahy playing off 3 with 38 points with category 2 been picked up by Michael Hickey playing off 13 with 50 points. In Category 3 Adrian O Donovan picked up the win playing off 19 with 43 points. Brian Buckley won category 4 playing off 28 with 38 points. Well done lads!
18 Hole Open Singles Stableford – Thursday the 12th of October to Sunday the 15th October
Eoin Ahearne shot the lights out with 41 points playing off 2 and winning category 1. Category 2 was won by Ken Brigdale playing off 9 with 40 points (CB). Tom McAdams playing off 17 had 38 points securing the win in category 3. In category 4 Kevin Burke topped the leaderboard playing off 23 with 42 points.
Golfer Of The Year Grand Final
Sunday the 15th of October
Well done to Vincent Bradshaw who capped off the golfing year with a win on Sunday and securing the mens golfer of the year title. Vincent shot a nett 66 playing off 8. Congrats. In second place was Kevin McGuire Jnr with nett 67 playing off 15.
