Sincere Condolences

The past four weeks have been sad for Members of the Club as we said goodbye to cherished past and present members.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the families of Anthony Ward,  Michael (Mickey) Nugent and Pat Shanahan.

Anthony (Tony) was a young man taken from the world much too soon.  A valued friend to many of the Club’s members,  our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Anna, son, Tynan and his parents,  Ger and Rose, and brother, Alan and extended family and friends.

Mickey Nugent was a special character in the Club and played regularly with the Seanoiri who were thanked sincerely by Mickey’s Family for the care and joy they brought to their Father’s golf life.  Mickey was a Man of many talents, always loved to meet and talk and had a greeting for everyone.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Nugent Families.

Pat Shanahan, Lady Captain 1989, was held in special esteem by the Ladies of Cahir Park.  Described as a true Lady who loved her game of golf and the values of the game, Pat was a long-standing member and great supporter of the Club.  She was predeceased by her husband Tom, Club Captain in 1977 and President in 1987 and her much loved son, Tim, who was Club President in 2014.  Sincere sympathy is extended to all the Shanahan Families.

May the gentle souls of Tony, Mickey and Pat Rest in Peace.
