Ladies Get into Golf 2023
Captain Mary Lyons welcomed all the Ladies who registered for the ‘Get into Golf’ 2023 programme last Thursday evening at a lovely reception hosted in Cahir Park Clubhouse by the Ladies Committee. Supported by Captain John Hughes, Club Professional Paul Eivers and Sam Power, Development Officer for Golf Ireland South, Mary outlined the 8-week programme, the joy of the game of golf and the one good shot that brings every Golfer back for the next game. Best wishes to all the participants and thank you to the Ladies Committee for running the programme and to Kay and Lore for the wonderful catering.
Ladies Results
The Tuesday morning 12 Hole Champagne Scramble was well supported and well done to the winning team of Imelda Fitzpatrick, Eleanor Cummins and Geraldine Cooney who returned 60 pts.
The Tuesday Ladies are looking forward to playing for the Nancy Doyle Trophy on May 16th, the competition will be 12 Holes Singles Stapleford.

Congratulations to Michelle Keating (14) who won with a Net 73 on Countback and to Imelda Buckley (22) who also had a Net 73 and to Marie Keating (27) who was 3rd with Net 74. Great Golf Ladies!
Ladies 9 Hole Qualifier weekly competition commences Monday 8th May and runs each Monday. Minimum 6 competitors to make a competition.

Monday Evening Mixed 12 Holes
A great tradition is returning to the Club shortly. With thanks to Susan Carey and Catherine English, the 3 person (any combination) Champagne Scramble resumes on Monday 22nd May with Draw Times 5pm, 5.30pm and 6pm. Everyone is welcome to play. The purpose of the Mixed Evening is totally a social gathering and the golf is followed by prize presentation and a lovely cup of tea! So put it in your diary, come and meet your fellow members and enjoy a relaxed game of golf. Thank you to Susan and Catherine for ‘getting the ball rolling’!
