Driving Range
Though the Course may be closed due to horrid weather conditions, the Driving Range is always open to members and visitors. The new covered Bays are a bonus and golfers can practice in comfort protected from wind and rain. New pegs have arrived for the mats. We apologise for the lack of pegs recently and please advise Francis and Paul in the Pro Shop if a peg is missing. A gravel walkway to the Bays will be in place shortly with thanks to Declan and Team who continuously strive to make facilities better for all Golfers. 8

Golfer of the Year
Great delight this week when Captain Margaret announced the Lady Golfer of the Year 2022, is Julie Connolly. Julie played great golf throughout the year. Winner of the Silver Medal in Cahir Park, Julie went on to win the Munster Regional Final Silver Medal Competition played in Thurles Golf Club in September and then represented Club and Provence in the All-Ireland Final played at Headfort GC in October. A superb photographer and designer of all the fabulous Club Competition Posters, Julie is a wonderful Club person, regular competitor in all weekly competitions and has earned her Golfer of the Year Prize through persistence and talent. Congratulations Julie from everyone in Cahir Park.

Winter has arrived
Torrential rain and strong winds disrupted play this week for Golfers everywhere.
The Ladies got out for a couple of hours on Thursday morning, 3rd November to play 9 Holes. Rosemary O’Donnell was one of the few survivors of the Winter downpours and won a Turkey for Christmas on 15 pts. Well-deserved Rosemary. Congratulations.

Diary for the week

On 30th of October we held a 9 Hole Singles in between the showers. Many braved the elements and Donal Mullane won with 23 points. Congrats Donal.
