PJ Cullinan,  RIP

Great sadness descended on the Club last week when the death of PJ was announced.

A long-time member of Cahir Park,  PJ was synonymous with his crafts as well as his golf.  He and his brothers, Martin and Anthony hold a personal record of playing golf in every one of the thirty-two Counties, a subject that enthralled many of his Golfing friends.  PJ is responsible for the present Presidents and Captains Boards and annually prepared the Competitors Boards for the Major Competitions.  His calligraphy was renowned and this summer, PJ presented the Bar Staff with personalised name plates.

A gifted artist with a simple pencil, the Clubhouse is home to gorgeous prints by PJ of Cahir Castle and The Rock of Cashel.

Sadly, PJ was predeceased by his brother, Michael in September.  Never to be forgotten and always remembered for the countless good works PJ did around the Clubhouse and Course, deepest sympathy is expressed to PJ’s family, his wife Ann, Sons John, Alan and Lee, Daughter, Claire, Brothers Martin, Noel and Anthony, Sisters, Frances and Caroline and extended family.   Rest in Peace PJ.  You are truly missed.
