Julie wins Bramleigh Lodge Series Final
Sunday 1st October, the first day of the last month of Autumn season, was a better day than many of the days of Summer. It was the final day of Ryder Cup and the joy victory brought to every European Golfer.
For Cahir Park Ladies, it was the focal day of the Bramleigh Lodge Nursing Home Summer Series. Thirty Ladies qualified throughout the Summer Series to play in the Final. Unfortunately, recent weather events resulted in the Final being decided over the Front 9 Holes of the Course and the Ladies embraced the challenge of good golf from the first TeeBox and no spare Holes to make up ground and points.
Golfer of the Year 2022, Julie Connolly, who has played consistently good golf throughout this year was the Winner. Playing off H/C 8 for the nine holes, Julie brought in 21pts.
Breda Kavanagh (23) was second, also with 21pts on countback, Kathleen Lonergan (9) was 3rd with 19 pts and Mary Kenrick (10) was 4th with 18pts. Congratulations to Julie and all the prize winners and to all the Ladies who participated in the Summer Series.
A very sincere Thank you goes to Sandra Farrell and Bramleigh Lodge Nursing Home for the very generous Sponsorship of the Series. We all look forward to the presentation of Prizes by Sandra on Sunday 15th October.
Deferred Fixtures
Rain, rain and more rain plus Storm Agnes resulted in the cancellation of many bookings for the Club including the Ladies Open Day planned for Thursday 28th September, which was being kindly sponsored by Morrisons Pharmacy, Cahir. It is hoped to reschedule the Open Day.
